Hi, I'm Andréa, a French awarded artist living in Melbourne for the past year and a half. I'm 37, a published author, director and photographer and I have a passion for chai latte and chestnut jam.
After eight transformative years as an assistant director, I stepped into the spotlight with my first short film “ A notre liberté retrouvée ” in 2012. The story, close to my heart, won awards in New York and Los Angeles, marking a pivotal moment in my career. In 2016, I took a leap and moved to Vancouver, driven by a desire to learn English and challenge myself. The experience was both humbling and empowering, as I navigated a new culture and found my true passion: photographing the intimate journey of motherhood.
About
"Le Lien," my project on the metamorphosis of the maternal body, was exhibited in Paris in 2019, celebrating the beauty of this transformation. In 2021, I captured a home birth, an experience that moved me deeply and resulted in a photograph that became the official poster for the International Congress Against Obstetric Violence. That same year, my photo series "Street of India" was showcased in Vancouver, reflecting the vibrant emotions of my journey through Kerala.
Writing became my outlet, and I published "Seduction in Vancouver," a book that captured the highs and lows of my Canadian adventure. In 2022, I followed my intuition to Asia, where I met the man who would become my partner. Today, I’m a freelance photographer in Melbourne, focusing on the raw, honest beauty of motherhood and family life. My work is a reflection of my journey, shaped by vulnerability, courage, and the stories that connect us all.
